Papplewick Pumping Station is a Victorian waterworks built in the early 1880s to supply Nottingham, housing original twin beam engines by James Watt & Co and Lancashire boilers. The site, run by a registered charity, hosts a steampunk weekend among several themed steam events each year.

During steam weekends the engines run under power and additional attractions open, including underground reservoir tours, a miniature steam railway, and guided tours of the engine and boiler houses. The station is also open free of charge on Wednesdays and Sundays from April to October.
